Digital Music Pad Database / My Music Folders

Creating and Updating the Database
Click on the Database button

Filters

Use the filters to select the audio files you want to add to the database.
If you add all audio types to the database you can still use the filters to view
selected types after the database is filled.
Set a minimum file size from 0.5MB to 6MB

This ensures the database only adds music files and not clips.
Click the 'Update' button.

The update window will open.
Select the main folder where your audio files are stored
(double click to open and close folders
) and click OK.
If you don't know where your audio files are stored select the root folder of
your hard drive C:\ .
If you select the root folder, your entire hard drive will be searched and could
take some time. It is much better to keep your audio files in one main folder
with sub folders for each album e.g.
C:\My Audio
Album1
Album2
In this example you select C:\My Audio as the main folder, check the Include Sub
Folders box, and click OK.
The database will update with information on all your audio files.
If you create new folders later, click the 'Update' button, navigate to the new
folder, uncheck Include Sub Folders and press OK.
If you remove audio files and folders from your pc, clear the database and update from your main audio
folder.

This will only clear the database, no files are deleted.
If a file contains extra information this will be extracted to the database.
The following extra information for MP3, WMA, M4A, MP4 and WAV files is retrieved.
